For instance the same person may interpret the identical word when the same person uses the same word in the context of two distinct contexts, yet the meanings associated with those words may be identical when the speaker uses the same word in several different settings.

While the major theories of meaning try to explain significance in mind-based content non-mentalist theories are sometimes explored. This could be due some skepticism about mentalist theories. They also may be pursued from those that believe that mental representation should be assessed in terms of the representation of language.

Tarski's definition of truth is problematic because it does not consider the complexity of the truth. In particular, truth is not able to be an axiom in the interpretation theories, as Tarski's axioms don't help describe the semantics of primitives. In addition, his definition of truth does not fit with the notion of truth in understanding theories.
However, these problems do not mean that Tarski is not capable of applying the truth definition he gives, and it does not be a part of the'satisfaction' definition.
